A History of Excellence and Community
Harter’s Lakeside Disposal, established on May 8, 2021, in Oostburg, WI, began as a small operation with just two trucks and two employees. Led by partner Michael Thun, who brought over 20 years of industry experience, the company set out to provide Eastern Wisconsin with reliable and customer-focused waste disposal services. In just two years, it has grown to a fleet of 25 trucks and 35 employees, reflecting its dedication to service excellence and community-driven values.
As a family-owned, Wisconsin-based company, Harter’s prioritizes local employment, keeps revenue within the state, and offers personalized customer service. Serving over 120 municipalities, including Sheboygan, Grafton, Fredonia, Oostburg, and Port Washington, the company provides residential, commercial, and industrial waste handling services. With a focus on sustainability, Harter’s is expanding its operations with a state-of-the-art transfer station, maintenance shop, and office facility.
